ZDDT Visits Harvest Family Village

In a heart-warming gesture of collaboration and shared vision, the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) paid an inspiring visit to Harvest Family Village, a haven that lovingly shelters children while sustaining itself through a productive farm.

The visit was filled with warmth and optimism as representatives from both organisations explored ways to strengthen the village’s agricultural base and improve food security for the children.

The fertile land, alive with the scent of freshly ploughed soil and green promise, reflected the village’s commitment to nurturing both young lives and sustainable livelihoods.

“We try our best to produce our own food through egg production from our layers and meat from our broilers, a piggery and goat rearing. We also produce vegetables such as tomatoes, umbida and cauliflower,” commented Njabulo Henry Mpofu Director of the Harvest Family village.

This visit marked the beginning of an exciting partnership aimed at venturing into ZDDT’s high-impact agricultural interventions by investing in Harvest Family Village’s farming enterprise.

Through this collaboration, the initiative seeks to contribute to improving the transformation of the farm into a model of productivity and empowerment, where every harvest contributes, not only to the children’s daily needs, but also to long-term community development.

Together, ZDDT and Harvest Family Village envision a flourishing future where compassion, innovation, and hard work bloom side by side to create lasting change.
