Geraldine Roche Arts Academy (GRAA) students turned the stage into a classroom and platform for social commentary, using theatre to shine a light on injustices experienced by students in their daily lives.

Through a bold theatrical production, the students moved beyond performance to confront issues affecting young people while highlighting the power of art to raise difficult questions and give visibility to voices that are often overlooked.

Directed by General Lesley and Thando Nkiwane, the production demonstrated how theatre can provide young people with a space to express their experiences, challenge social issues and engage audiences in meaningful conversations.

The students' performances reinforced the message that their voices matter and that creative arts can be a powerful tool for reflection, dialogue and community awareness.
