Green Gardens Committee Strengthens Leadership Through Conflict Management Workshop

Green Gardens Market Garden is strengthening its leadership and promoting harmonious teamwork through targeted capacity-building aimed at fostering unity and effective community governance.
The market garden, located in Sizinda in Bulawayo’s west, recently hosted a conflict management workshop facilitated by Mr Makoni, the ZDDT training officer, to equip newly elected committee members with essential skills for resolving disputes and promoting harmonious working relationships. The training followed the garden’s recent elections and comprised of the induction of the new committee, providing a timely opportunity to strengthen leadership, teamwork and effective governance.
The workshop emphasised constructive communication, peaceful dispute resolution, and collaborative decision-making as key pillars of successful community management. By equipping the new leadership with practical conflict management skills, the initiative seeks to foster unity, promote transparency, ensure that disagreements are reduced and addressed constructively, enabling members to work together towards the garden’s shared development and sustainability goals.
