ICDL training for ZDDT staff nears completion

The course being conducted at the reputable Orion College on 15th Avenue, along Bulawayo’s Main Street, is aimed at making students proficient in the intricacies of computers and their various applications. It is comprised of seven modules, with an examination ending each of these. The college issues out a skills card, used as a barometer, to measure the level of proficiency established, after students have sat for an exam.

Asked how he felt about the course, Bruce Mtengwa, who is the Trust’s Bulawayo Provincial Officer remarked; “When I started using the computer, it was an uphill struggle, as I did not understand most of its applications. However, with the knowledge gained from this course, I am now able to produce, with little difficulty, the comprehensive field reports that are required of me. These skills have subsequently enhanced the effectiveness with which I am able to conduct my work.”

The Training is a part of ZDDT’s open minded policy, aimed at affording its staff members capacity in optimising efficiency for the implementation of its various community based programmes.
