Onyeka Igwe training GRAA Level 1 on stage performance students

Learning from seasoned international and local facilitators gives aspiring artists the opportunity to develop industry-standard skills while gaining diverse creative perspectives.

Geraldine Roche Arts Academy (GRAA) continues to provide students with this valuable exposure, preparing them to excel in the competitive creative arts sector.

GRAA Level 1 students recently benefited from an interactive theatre performance workshop led by a London-based visual artist of Nigerian heritage, Onyeka Igwe.

The session introduced aspiring performers to practical techniques in stage presence, body movement, character development and creative expression, drawing on the facilitator's international experience in the arts.

Through practical exercises and performance activities, students gained valuable insights into effective storytelling and the role of movement and emotion in theatre.

The workshop reflects GRAA's commitment to exposing young creatives to global industry expertise while equipping them with the confidence and practical skills needed to pursue careers in the
performing arts.

“I encourage you to be willing to learn and always look out for opportunities to learn,” said Onyeka, motivating the Level 1 students.
