BULAWAYO – Cycling into the City Centre recently, ZDDT’s Field Correspondent came across a road sealing operation being conducted by Municipality workers, at the intersection of Masotsha Ndlovu Avenue and Fife Street, on the northern edge of town.
BULAWAYO – Situated at the northern perimeter of the city centre, the Verity Amm Community Centre for the aged, stands forlorn; a shadow of what it must have been in its erstwhile days. Built in the early 1950’s, its appearance portrays the popular architectural style of those times; clean, functional features, demonstrated in concrete, glass and steel. But the building is now drab; in urgent need of a few coats of paint and structural repairs.
