In a heartwarming development, ZDDT’s Business Social Credit Scheme has welcomed a new partnership with Chematek Lubricants, which has pledged to contribute an additional $50 to the programme each month.

This generous contribution will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the lives of the recipients of the scheme, as demonstrated by the heartwarming story of Mr. Gumbaira (above) and Mrs. Cala, both cancer patients, who received $50 each this January.

Both recipients expressed their gratitude, highlighting that the funds would be used towards purchasing essential medication.

The significance of this contribution was further underscored by the presence of Councillor L. Sibanda of
Ward 27, who was on hand to facilitate the donation handover.

The timing of this contribution was particularly opportune, as Councillor Sibanda noted that they were currently engaged in a concerted effort to raise funds for medication by going door-to-door within the community.

This heartening collaboration between ZDDT’s Business Social Credit Scheme and the Bulawayo-based Chematek Lubricants serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of corporate social responsibility and its profound impact on community cohesion.

By actively engaging in initiatives that directly benefit
those in need within the community, businesses play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of solidarity and
support among residents.
