ZDDT: Canadian Ambassador visit and motivational workshop held

Latest ZDDT News: Two workshops were held, in as many days for the councillors and Community Action Teams (CATs), from Wards 26 and 29 in the City of Bulawayo and the Canadian Ambassador visits.

The exercises occurred on the 18th and 19th November at the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) Office.

Councillor Monica Lubimbi with her CAT from Ward 29 attended on the 18th and Councillor N. Hlabani and his team on the 19th.

The participants were taken through a course which had been designed to arm them with Motivational Skills, including community relationships and group project management, in the context by which they fall under the Sebenzela/Work For Programme.

Introductory segments that dealt with background information were handled by Mr. Simon Spooner, National Development Officer, while the Provincial Development Officer, Mr. Bruce Mtengwa presided over the later sessions.

Canadian Ambassador visits ZDDT offices

The Canadian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Barbara Richardson, paid an important visit to the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) Office in Bulawayo, 16 November 2009.

She was taken on a brief tour of the premises, followed by introductions to members of staff, before meeting with Mr. Simon Spooner, ZDDT National Development Officer.

The discussions, which hinged upon issues of mutual interest, were productive and a follow-up visit, by an official from the Embassy, is expected to occur soon.
