Student Intern Joins Team ZDDT
Written by Ntando Sibanda - ZDDT Reporter Friday, 13 January 2012 15:27
Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. In pursuit of enhancing the country’s professional skills base, ZDDT has attached a student intern, Wisdom Ndlovu, (21) from Lupane State University (LSU).
Wisdom joined the Trust as a Research Officer on 9 January 2012 and is a Bsc (Hons) Degree in Development Studies student at LSU.
He has been doing voluntary work with ZDDT in Ward 5 since August last year, where he was actively involved in the dissemination of Information, Education and Communication material.
“I got to know about ZDDT at the beginning of a Community Restoration Programme where I helped with the distribution off fliers, posters and so on. I think the Trust’s initiatives and interventions in the communities are very positive and their impact can be seen by anyone. These interventions impact positively in that they improve the state of the environment and the people’s view of their surroundings.”
I am very grateful for being awarded this opportunity because I know that, when I leave, I will be a better person and I will strive to make sure that I have a positive input in the operations of ZDDT,” said Wisdom.
