Bulawayo Clinic Cleaned as Communities Join Forces

When asked for comment, Ward 24 CAT Leader, Elizabeth Mutereko, said that they realised the importance of participating, in this restoration activity, as the health facility also serves residents from her area.

“We did not even need to sit down and discuss. We straight away came here because this is also our clinic and we could not leave the CAT of Ward 22 to do this without our help. Our residents are treated here and deliver their babies from this clinic and it only makes sense that we participate,” she said.

Ward 22 CAT members thanked the other neighbourhoods for responding promptly, saying this shows that the city’s populace is united.

“We are very grateful for the support that we are receiving from our neighbours. Last week, we were helped by Ward 23 and this week Ward 24 has come to assist as well. This shows that we are one and that we understand and love each other,” said Irene Moyo, a member of the Ward 22 CAT.
