ZDDT Trains Enumerators

BULAWAYO CITY CENTRE – Last Thursday the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) trained more than 20 enumerators who will carry out the end of project evaluation exercise.

ZDDT, with funding from TRACE, has, for the past three years been implementing a Citizen Mobilisation and Democratic Transition Project, which ends in March.

The training, facilitated by ZDDT staffers, saw participants drawn from Community Action Team members and Field Officers, being taken through the importance of project evaluation, data gathering tools, among others.

ZDDT Field Officers will lead five research teams which will cover all the 29 wards of Bulawayo’s gathering information from the project beneficiaries.

The key beneficiaries and stakeholders of the project include Bulawayo residents, the city Council administration and councillors, the policy makers.

Participants hailed the training saying they had been well equipped to carry out the task.

Irene Moyo of Ward 22 said; “This training was very important to me becauseI learnt a lot of things and I now know how I will conduct myself as I get into
the community doing this research.”

Sithembile Ncube of Ward 1, said she was rearing to go, also describing the training as “very powerful.”

Data gathering is set to begin on January 14 and end on January 18.
