The tenth Ward Action Team had just been established at the time of his death and his legacy will live on.
__________________________

Just at a time when team ZDDT Bulawayo HQ was celebrating its move to new premises, we experienced the untimely and sudden death of our dear colleague Peter Elliot.

Peter recently joined the Trust as the Provincial Development Officer of Bulawayo Province and he was fundamental in establishing much of the foundation work which represents the broad scope of ZDDT responsibilities.  The tenth Ward Action Team had just been established at the time of his death and his legacy will live on as we continue his good work and that of the Trust in committing to the Zimbabwe Rebuild Programme.

Peter was widely known and respected as a true democrat and someone who was committed to his people no matter their background, tribe or color.

These deep seated principles are what made him a great success in carrying out his duties within the various communities of Bulawayo’s townships.  In tribute a trophy, the Peter Elliot Memorial Cup, will be presented to the winning team of the football league he so enthusiastically established on behalf of the Trust.
