BULAWAYO – Local leaders, from ZDDT’s Southern Region, were recently afforded the opportunity to participate in a 3 day Leadership Capacity Building Training Workshop, in the city of Bulawayo.

Among those who attended were 2 Councillors and several representatives from CATs in the city. They were joined by a Councillor from Beit Bridge and PDOs from across ZDDT’s Southern Region.

The event, which took place at Cilla’s Conference Centre, located in the city’s Central Business District, ran from 26 to 29 June, 2010. Training facilitator, Trevor Maisiri, did an expert job in directing participants through the courses which included subjects such as Decentralisation, Access to Justice and The Human Rights Approach.

Attendance was excellent throughout.

ZDDT organised the Workshop, while the African Resources Institute (ARI), conducted training through Trevor.

KAF kindly funded the event as part of their contribution to building the capacity of Local Authorities.
