ZDDT in tool handover

Tools key to engendering spirit of self help in community.

BULAWAYO - Cllrs. Nduna M. Dladla and Martin K. Moyo, of Wards 11 and 3 respectively, featured in a tool-kit hand-over presentation ceremony held at ZDDT’s office in central Bulawayo, 15 April, 2010.

Doing the honours was Mr. Bruce Mtengwa, the Trust’s Provincial Development Officer for Bulawayo.

Receiving the implements and materials, both Community Leaders expressed profound gratitude to ECEZ, the project’s funder, and ZDDT, through whom the initiative is administered.

Under this particular project, popularly elected Councillors in the City’s 29 Wards receive tool-kits and materials which they utilise, with the voluntary assistance of residents in their areas, in restoration campaigns.

Such exercises have in the past, proved to be highly successful and motivational, engendering the spirit of self-help.
