Zimbabwe: City of Bulawayo abuzz with restoration work

BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE – As this is being written, Zimbabwe's second city - Bulawayo - is abuzz with restoration work. There are a number of middle to large scale projects being conducted by the City Council, amongst which are road repairs and remaking. In addition to this, infrastructural work by private sector entities has commenced.

BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE - Impressed with the community responsibility efforts by a group of concerned residents in his neighbourhood, Councillor for Ward 15, Israel Mabaleka called ZDDT and invited them to record the initial stages of the programme.

Bulawayo Ward Three Chairman Loves His Trees

BULAWAYO – An earlier article published on the Trust’s website, described the unique feature in which Ward Three; Mahatshula Chairman, Patrick Mlauzi, has come to know each of the one hundred trees recently planted in the Ward. Besides achieving this remarkable feat, he has also mapped the exact position of each of these.

BULAWAYO - Named Ekuphumuleni, which in the Ndebele language translates to Place of Peace, this Geriatric Nursing Home does indeed exude an air of tranquillity about it. In fact, it has the usual characteristics one would expect to encounter at such a place. Yet that is where similarities with institutions like it end.
