City of Bulawayo 'Frontline officials' receive service excellence training

BULAWAYO –A selection of officers, who may be considered the face of the City of Bulawayo as viewed by the public, recently received training in Service Excellence, at the Small City Hall, situated at the Fife Street Municipal Office complex.

The one day training exercise titled – BCC SERVICE EXCELLENCE WORKSHOP, was organised through ZDDT in conjunction with the Bulawayo City Council and facilitated by renowned trainer in the subject, Leo Mupezani. In his own words, the workshop was aimed at improving levels of customer service by City Officials, with the long-term projection towards enhancing revenue collection.

Officials selected for the training, mostly came from middle level management in the Local Authority’s various service departments and were chosen by the City’s Administration, on the basis of their roles which required them, or their charges, to frequently interact with the public.

The training is part of ZDDT’s Local Authority Capacity Building Programme that receives financial support through development partner GIZ, with assistance from the German Government.
