Ascot, Bulawayo, gets a visit from the 'Orange Team'
Written by Lewis Jones, ZDDT Field Correspondent Friday, 09 September 2011 11:22
BULAWAYO – The very busy road intersection alongside Ascot Race Course, which serves at least three nearby schools and leads to several major suburbs, was recently set abuzz (literally) by the “Orange Team.”

Wielding brush-cutters and operating their ride-on mowers, the team set about clearing grass and bush after a gang of litter wardens had picked the site clean.

The exercise was part of ZDDT’s current Local Authority Capacity Building Programme which is aimed at enhancing the Municipality’s service delivery capacity through prudent resource management and utilisation. This follows specific training covering Time Management and Effective Resource Deployment.
Our development partner, GIZ, cooperating with the German Government, are the Programme’s financial supporters.
